G.M. Cunningham

Dedicated to Oklahoma and Arkansas

G.M. Cunningham was a dominant field organizer for the Lions Clubs who initially worked with E.A. Hicks in the Southwest. Despite his title of District Governor of the International Association of Lions Clubs for the States of Texas and Louisiana, G.M.’s concerns spanned a far greater area. Organizing a great number of clubs in Oklahoma and Arkansas, he also found time to do the honors for Great Falls, Montana in 1922.

In 1923, while still working for the western regions, he met his untimely end, falling on a street in Ogden, Utah and suffering a heart attack. His wife reported that he had been in poor health, but his dedication to his work for the cause of Lionism was of greater importance to him.
